Three Wheeled Buggies
If you're looking for a buggy to run with or just a nifty stroller to tackle neighbourhood walks, three wheeled buggies are great for mobility. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver even in tight spots.
If you're looking for an easy ride in your baby, select models with 360deg front wheels with swivel. However, they are prone to punctures, so be prepared with a repair kit.
Frame made of sturdy material
New data show that three-wheeled buggies that were the symbol of the decade that had more money than common sense, are in rapid decline. Four-wheelers are replacing them, and are more versatile and easier to drive, while also looking elegant.
The bigger the wheels are, the more your buggy will be able to deal with bumpy surfaces and uneven pavements. The larger wheels on both the front and back also makes it much easier to maneuver and more stable when walking downhill or on rough terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with an infant and a toddler and found it to be very sturdy. It was able to handle grass, cobbles and rough pavements, as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath wrote "it is solid to push and extremely solid when going over difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable, so require periodic pumping) come with suspension built-in, which was very comfortable for my children.
The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to consider. You'll want it to be big enough for your child's comfort. You will also need it to recline so that they can lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies will have a full lie-flat option while others only allow for the parent to be facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or walking in muddy areas. The buggy can be used as a one-person unit from birth and then adapts to take two children when your family grows. It is suitable for infants and toddlers up to age 4 and includes a bumper bar, raincover, improved 5-point harness and large padded seat unit. Storage options are also great with a large storage basket with zip pockets on the hood and an attractive pouch on the rear of the seat unit.
Larger wheels

Larger wheels will give your buggy greater stability when driving over rough terrain. This is especially beneficial for buggies designed for off-road use. They also allow you to maneuver the pushchair in tight spaces. A lot of three-wheeled buggies come with swivel front wheels to help you navigate around tight corners, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability with which they can be pushed. This is especially useful when you bump against a tree or a kerb. The front wheel will be lifted slightly to prevent hitting it.
A majority of 3 wheel pushchairs come with air-filled tyres. three wheel pushchair can handle many different terrains and are much more adaptable than 4-wheelers. They're also lighter. They are prone to punctures, so you'll need to have an repair kit and spare inner tube in your arsenal.
Some of our favourite 3-wheelers include the Mountain Buggy Core and Venicci Carbo Lux. Both of these buggies come with larger wheels that, according to MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on gravel tracks, grass and market town cobbles" and can easily move up and down kerbs. They also have suspensions that, according to Kath "smooths out bumps with great efficiency".
Buggies with bigger wheels can be quite wide and they may be a challenge to fit in tight spaces. This is problematic if you intend to use it as a jogger or have to squeeze through narrow doorways while on the move. Most models come with compact folding options, which let you remove the front wheels and store them more compactly.
Easy to 3 wheeled pushchair of the main benefits of a three-wheel buggy is that it's much more maneuverable especially with a child on the way. The way they are built means that the front wheels spin at a whim and are incredibly maneuverable which makes them perfect for difficult terrains such as parks, cobbles or bumpy pavements, as well as dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried an all-wheeler with her toddler. she reported: "The Terrain is a delight to navigate on rough terrain. The swivel wheel in the front was particularly useful." I was also impressed by how well it dealt with the kerbs, particularly when using the brake operated by hand. It was extremely stable when for descending or on uneven terrain."
The only downside of this amazing maneuverability is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels do sometimes mean it has to struggle in tight spaces, something to consider especially if you live in a city area. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeled buggy could be the better option for you.

And that's not the only reason to adore this buggy Our MFM reviewer Kath was impressed by how spacious it is, too. There's a nimble large, spacious basket that's quite spacious for a buggy that's this big. Additionally, there's an excellent pouch on the back unit, as well as two smaller mesh pockets beneath the hood, where you can keep your keys and phone.
